etherbored Posted February 22, 2005 Report Posted February 22, 2005 deus - the tete cover is *tasty*. go for it with slight variations on the colouring. additionally, as these are compact discs we're talking about one should use disc IMHO... regards, -e- Quote

jazzbo Posted February 22, 2005 Report Posted February 22, 2005 Well, Reid was cool and all, but he's not the be all and end all for ME. I like what deus and John are doing a LOT. A LOT. They don't have to ask what anyone is doing, their following their muse! Quote
couw Posted February 22, 2005 Report Posted February 22, 2005 additionally, as these are compact discs we're talking about one should use disc IMHO... ah, but when them's CD-rs, disk would be more appropriate as the spelling of choice of the 'puter geek. Quote
neveronfriday Posted February 22, 2005 Author Report Posted February 22, 2005 John, first draft (you know how dramatically those change usually); can't get it right, and too much snot is blocking my Google skills. I need a different image on the left, I would have to redo the right side ("Blitzer"), redo the typography ... basically redo everything. Plus, this thing is just going to eat ink. But, the idea I like. I'll return to it tomorrow some time. Now I'm going to head off to bed. Cheers! Quote

I need a different image on the left yes, because that's Ted Curson and he ain't featured. Trzaskowski (center) is. I would have to redo the right side ("Blitzer"), redo the typography ... basically redo everything. Plus, this thing is just going to eat ink. But, the idea I like. I'll return to it tomorrow some time. Now I'm going to head off to bed. thanks for the ideas and effort and get well soon! BTW: I just added 12 minutes of fabulous stuff to the 40+ minutes I already had. This thing is ready to be sequenced and go into production! yay! Quote

neveronfriday Posted February 23, 2005 Author Report Posted February 23, 2005 Let me know if you want to use it/have it tweaked or if we just leave it here for posterity (or for my own later use). Am going to go and listen to Farlow, Farlow, Farlow. Cheers! Quote
couw Posted February 23, 2005 Report Posted February 23, 2005 (edited) I also came up with two more variants, more in line with the Jazz From The GDR comp. It will be some weeks before I finish this and I'll have a look at it all with fresh eyes then. Thanks a bunch anyhow! Edited February 23, 2005 by couw Quote
tjluke68 Posted February 23, 2005 Report Posted February 23, 2005 I'm in the process of copying Bobby Hutcherson's CIRRUS and THE WAITING to CD (still taking out the few pops/clicks). I'm not a Photoshop pro like most of the posters here; anyone want to make up a potential cover for each or as a two-fer. I can trade a copy if you'd like when I'm finished... Thanks! Quote
