Guy Berger Posted March 10, 2005 Report Posted March 10, 2005 The music is outstanding, by the way. At first pass not as avant-garde as the fall '67 tour dates, but excellent anyway. Mulva! Guy Quote
.:.impossible Posted March 10, 2005 Author Report Posted March 10, 2005 I am amazed at how well Brian Blade's kit is captured on this disc. To think bootlegs used to mean poor sound quality. Even the audience recordings of disc one and two sound ok, with balance issues. Quote
jazzbo Posted March 11, 2005 Report Posted March 11, 2005 I feel better now! By the way, I think all the dates sound really good, and I may like the realistic sound of the first two discs, the only private recordings, as much or better! Quote
.:.impossible Posted March 11, 2005 Author Report Posted March 11, 2005 I actually agree. I'm glad to have this set finally! Now, who's got a copy of the Newport performance? Quote
Big Wheel Posted March 11, 2005 Report Posted March 11, 2005 The music is outstanding, by the way. At first pass not as avant-garde as the fall '67 tour dates, but excellent anyway. Mulva! Guy And now the 1966 set with Richard Davis is up. Crazy! The only thing better will be if any tapes with the 1967 sextet with Joe Henderson turn up... Quote
king ubu Posted March 11, 2005 Report Posted March 11, 2005 I just got the set today. I have Disc 6 playing now, and I'd assume this was a studio recording if I didn't know any better. So this is from the same source as mine... great to know! I started wondering reading that guy's name rather than "fm" or the name of a radio or tv station. Quote
John B Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 Thank you all for posting the dates/tracks for the Forensic Tree! Quote
jazzbo Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 You're welcome John. I was going to mail you what I had, but between my post and Cary's, it's all there and then some (my paperwork did not include many of the titles identified). Quote
.:.impossible Posted October 22, 2005 Author Report Posted October 22, 2005 Does anybody have the track listings for the Miles in B set? I have all info except track titles. Thanks! Quote
king ubu Posted October 28, 2005 Report Posted October 28, 2005 Does anybody have the track listings for the Miles in B set? I have all info except track titles. Thanks! ← Hey, would you post what you have, please? I only have some "elaborated guesses" I put up with help of Losin's site... If anyone needs the cover are for the HSHB Forensic, drop me a PM, I got it somewhere (I think from dime, when the tree was seeded, recently). Quote
.:.impossible Posted November 2, 2005 Author Report Posted November 2, 2005 Flurin, I used the information you posted here! Quote
king ubu Posted November 2, 2005 Report Posted November 2, 2005 Flurin, I used the information you posted here! ← omigod! I couldn't remember that I posted this here! I thought you might have gotten "official" info - I think, but as I can't even remember posting it anymore..., I think my post was just an elaborate guess - I can't recall where I took that info from! Hmmmm, getting old? Quote
