Kari S Posted January 17, 2006 Report Posted January 17, 2006 A bunch of vinyl reissues and a few cds. 1. Kuumba Tootie Heath - Kawaida 2. O'Donel Levy - Simba (ok, not as good as I expected) 3. Harold Vick - Watch What Happens (bought it because of Herbie, but the mix is terrible; not that good really) 4. Nathan Davis - If (a couple of nice grooves, but mostly just some really tired sh*t, and Davis sucks) 5. Harold Alexander - Sunshine Man (ok, some righteous grooves, and everything with Pretty Purdie is always worthwhile...) 6. Richard Groove Holmes - Night Glider 7. Richard Groove Holmes - Six Million Dollar Man 8. Reuben Wilson - Sweet Life 9. Larry Willis - Inner Crisis 10. Larry Willis - New Kind Of Soul Quote

Dave James Posted July 24, 2006 Report Posted July 24, 2006 I am pleased to report that da bastids have ceased their formerly ceaseless assault on my finances. It's been over three months since I last felt their hands in my wallet. I'm so proud of my newly found resistance to their siren song, I could just about burst. Out damn spot...Dusty be gone!! Up over and out. Quote

Dan Gould Posted February 25, 2021 Report Posted February 25, 2021 First one in a while just now, wanted to note that their "Media Mail" option in the US now quotes 2-6 weeks. Don't recall that before. Anyway was listening to my transfer of that new Dexter "All Soul's" double LP and hadn't realized how noisy it was, so I sprung for both volumes of the CD reissue, I believe its three unissued tracks total so what the hey. Plus an 80s Ray Bryant Trio on Emarcy and what looks like an enjoyable early Clayton Brothers LP on Concord, Jeff & John, which doesn't even appear on their allmusic page. At $5 or less for the two LPs, what's the harm. And for Priority Mail at $3 more than Media, that's a no-brainer too. Quote
kh1958 Posted February 25, 2021 Report Posted February 25, 2021 I had trouble with very slow delivery with an order placed in December. But the last order I placed about a week ago arrived in 3 or 4 days (Media Mail). The same was true for a January order. Quote
