I think I'd do the ebay route. Weizen just sold his and you may be able to get some people who really wanted the box or maybe you could ask him to do a second chance offer for you and you'd get the money quicker.

I don't understand the complaints about the rust. I thought it was DESIGNED to rust. A bad packaging and marketing move, but nevertheless, that was the intention, no? Personally, I like it -- as well as a kick in the pants to all those tight ass collectors in the world.

Heck, I slapped on a suit and strolled into the National Gallery of Art yesterday and offered it up (for free) as an Object d'Art and your superiors quickly summoned the guards had them escort me from the bldg.

That's because you had removed the CD's from it. For the complete artistic statement, the CD's must still be inside.

The National Gallery already HAS a copy. I sold my set to them, telling them that it was some lost Duchamp piece. Never mind that Duchamp was long dead before this set came out.....

I was in Tower Records on Broadway and 4th today and they had a Bill Evans set on display, for sale with significant rust on the case.

I was suprised how bad it really was.

It did not appear to be discounted.

It's all pretty screwed up and I wouldn't mind it but for those screwed up cds. I'll just settle for getting the $99 plus shipping back. Early on in this thread, I said dealing with them wasn't too much fun. I should have listened to myself.
