It's just that if I start I thread on someone's life having come to an end, I get a bit bothered when some(one) finds the need to comment on the deceased being a lesser talent. Maybe it's just me. Would it have been disrespectful to mention the Seinfeld episode where Kramer is dating Elaine's roommate (played by Siobhan Fallon), and they're dancing around the living room (and glass-top coffee table), scantily clad... to the strains of Martin Denny??? Some respect and nuance would have been in place. I guess it doesn't bother me because it is only one person's opinion. I know I enjoyed Denny's music and others did too. That's really what matters to me. It doesn't take away from Denny at all in my book if some people don't like him. It sounds like he lived a great life and I'm sure he's in a much BETTER place now. Quote

Brad Posted March 5, 2005 Report Posted March 5, 2005 I, unfortunately, never looked at the thread Tony referred to but I find it disturbing that someone would denigrate the talent of a person that has recently passed away. What I'm thinking here if of the thread that made fun of Leslie Gourse. Granted, she may not have done the best job at serious writing, but to make fun of her after she's died is not only in poor taste in my opinion but ghoulish and people who engaged in that should take a serious look at themselves in my opinion.
