Guest DizzySpells
Jim, will there actually be an ignore function installed with the software update?
Jim Dye
Once Jim updates the board software tonight, people can start using the ignore function. Maybe that will bring Hans and deus62 back.

AllenLowe
what will this allow us to ignore? I missed something -
Guest DizzySpells
Anyone you want to ignore. His/her posts you won't be able to see. Good thing that. Edit: typo Edited March 8, 2005 by DizzySpells
ghost of miles
We don't need no stinking ignore function. Can one ignore the ignore function?
ghost of miles
Seriously, it's not a bad thing... I used it for Greg M. at one point on AAJ. The user's post appears but the text is blocked out (don't know if it will work differently here).
JSngry
The Ignore function will practice the discipline for us that we are unable to practice for ourselves.
Noj
I can ignore the ignore function, ignore who I want to on my own, and, perhaps more importantly, be ignored.

You know, you're much too nice to appear in the nastiness thread anyway. I will now just ignore you

ghost of miles
Jim, I would like to put myself on my "Ignore" list, please... I've had it!
Son-of-a-Weizen
I honestly can't imagine taking the daily rumblings & assorted goings on at a tiny speck of a bulletin board so seriously that I'd have to resort to using an ignore feature. Now, were it possible to actually acquire a jumbo-sized 'one', specifically designed to provide peace of mind at large family gatherings, that might be another story. Well prove it -- say a few words in plattdeutsche for me and then tell us if this is gorgeous pumping installation near the border is Dutch or German? I said heritage, man... some German, some Dutch, and a helping of Appalachian mountainfolk for a zestful, life-loving Eurobilly mix... but at home, I speak strictly American.
