I couldn´t imagine a better drummer to play with than Al Foster. And Mark Soskin was fine on piano, very fine, like Jerome Harris was on bass. Sure, I would have liked to see the All Star Band he had with George Duke, Stanley Clark and Al Foster, or the wonderful "Don´t Stop the Carnaval" on Milestones with Tony Williams, so I think he had the best guys to play with.
