BbM7 Posted February 2, 2005 Report Posted February 2, 2005 Anyone else heard this one? I first heard it on a listening station. Paid full-price for it. (something I seldom do) Still absorbing it, but finding it, uh...mildly disturbing, though not particularly deep. My first exposure to Shatner outside Priceline advertising. Quote
Big Wheel Posted February 2, 2005 Report Posted February 2, 2005 If you want full-on disturbing, you can't go wrong with The Transformed Man. Quote
AfricaBrass Posted February 2, 2005 Report Posted February 2, 2005 I saw the Shat do his act on Leno. I thought he was pretty good. I don't know if I'd buy the album, since the Shat's Transformed Man is already in my collection, and I don't listen to it much. Quote
BbM7 Posted February 2, 2005 Author Report Posted February 2, 2005 If you want full-on disturbing, you can't go wrong with The Transformed Man. Tempting. There's a reasonably cheap copy in the store bin down the street from me.... Quote
Guest Chaney Posted February 2, 2005 Report Posted February 2, 2005 There's just so much wonderful music out there that to spend money on this... product... just seems wrong. Cripes! Doesn't Shatner have enough money? Has anyone ever gone so far with so little ability? Life is very mysterious. All that being said, The Transformed Man really is a hoot! Quote
BbM7 Posted February 2, 2005 Author Report Posted February 2, 2005 I agree about the abundance of great music available. I've got 10,000-plus items in my collection - much of it...great music. But I don't have anything quite like this. So, I need it, right? Quote

I also read that he had some interesting collaborators on this. Quote

No, sorry. Why not peruse (can never use that word without thinking of you-know-who) THIS site and I'm sure it's bound to appear, if it hasn't already. And if it has, it'll soon be back. DON'T FEED THE SHATNER! Quote
medjuck Posted February 2, 2005 Report Posted February 2, 2005 Apparently Shatner attneded McGill University in Montreal but never graduated. Never-the-less the Student Union (over the objections of the administration) call their building The Shatner Building. Most of the buiildings with official names are called something like the Molson or Seagram Building. Quote

Guest Chaney Posted February 3, 2005 Report Posted February 3, 2005 (edited) jAcKpOt! oH bAbY! A truly moving experience. Surprisingly, a to the tunes Has Been (track 9) and I Can’t Get Behind That (featuring Henry Rollins) (track 10). Pretty good schlock. http://www.shatnerhasbeen.com/ Bill, I know the feeling. BbM7: Did you save your receipt? Edited February 3, 2005 by Chaney Quote
BbM7 Posted February 3, 2005 Author Report Posted February 3, 2005 I only obtain my recorded music in original, tangible form (LP, CD, 78...) from clearly legitimate sources. This may include previously owned items. Not preaching. Everyone's entitled to do as they wish; just stating my practice. Quote
