Son-of-a-Weizen
Störtebeker Bernstein Weizen limited edition* glass with nice gold emblem.... The sight of that has me weeping with joy. Were I not a strong man, I might buckle under and decide to trade you my one-of-a-kind AfricaBrass deluxe waffle with image of Jesus sitting next to Horace Silver on a park bench for it. zizala
Old pre-WWII archtop guitars.... It took me awhile to admit it, but its a collection...... But I spend a lot of time playing them....latecomer to the guitar, trying to make up for lost time. Its why I don't contribute much to the discussion around here....don't buy so much music anymore and just sit for hours fooling with these guitars. Ah well.....keeps me occupied and in denial. ziz -_-

mikeweil
I used to collect many things: Jazz LPs Jazz CDs Science Fiction and Phantastic Fiction books Hand Drums but I stopped the completist aspect of it entirely - too frustrating, too expensive. One day I sold the Science Fiction etc. books. Right now I try to complete my collection only of a few musicians/authors/film directors that I really love: Melvin Rhyne Lucky Thompson Cal Tjader Walerian Borowczyk Julien Gracq It's all a question of funding, in the end ... The next thing I will complete is the complete Babylon 5 TV series on DVD, available at budget price at some retailer here. One box a month ... LAL
Collected the Kenner Star Wars figurines produced soon after the movie(s) were released - still have some but quite a few have gone missing. Also used to collect those wonderful Aussie stamps but the humidity started causing browning on them and that killed my desire to collect/buy any more. That's cool! I find I'm much happier not being a completist with anything. :rsmile:
chris olivarez
Nothing else really. Back when I was a kid I used to collect baseball cards and comic books. I still bum when I think about the thousands of dollars that I just threw away. I was a kid how did i know that was all going to become so valuable.
