Got some really nice filet mignon from Costco. They do have great meat there! Also a killer mango salsa.

Grilled one along with some corn and small red potatoes. Grilled corn is soooooo good! Soak the husk in water for a while before grilling.

I've got to try that leaving it in the husk business some day. I do Raichlen's quick and easy version of brushing a little olive oil and butter and throwing it right on the grill.

I had a huge lunch whihch was really breakfast ("The Kerby Lane Special"--two eggs, slice of ham, two huge whole wheat and apple pancakes) and so just had some blue corn chips and artichoke-spinach hummus for "dinner." And a big bottle of mineral water. It's hot here!

Grilled burgers, sausages and ribs last night; tonight were trying something new: turkey meatballs, green and red peppers, crushed tomatoes and tomato sauce, with some garlic and other seasonings of choice.

I had a rare opportunity to have a dinner with one of my oldest friends and made her pecan encrusted salmon, guacamole (and chips, she's an avacado nut!) and green peas.
