andybleaden Posted February 18, 2005 Report Posted February 18, 2005 They are coming across the pond now too! We are in receipt of your Mosaic Records/True Blue Music order for which we thank you very much. The following items will ship within the next 24 hours: Item Qty Qty Qty Expected Number Description Ord. Shp. Bck. By ---------- ------------------------------ -------- -------- -------- ------- - MS-016 MOSAIC SELECT- ANDREW HILL 1.00 1.00 0.00 I must admit I cannot wait and will be checking out for the mail . It usually takes less than a week for my mosaics to hit here even surface. Does this mean I can ditch a cd burn of the double lp one for one??? I guess so Seems a shame Quote
Rooster_Ties Posted February 18, 2005 Author Report Posted February 18, 2005 (edited) With Monday being a Federal Holiday here in the U.S. (so no mail), I'm guessing I'll either get mine tomorrow (Saturday), or not until Tuesday. Would love to get it quicker, but my wife and I have a TON of stuff to do this weekend --- so I probably wouldn't be able to get much listening in, even if I got it tomorrow. So then actually, maybe getting it Tuesday might be better... Hey, anybody know how Mosaic ships their simple small-package domestic stuff?? Do they even use the U.S. Postal Service for anything?? Haven't bought a Mosaic in ages (probably 3 or 4 years, before the Selects even were around), and my memory -- now that I think of it -- is they used UPS (as opposed to the USPS). (IF they use UPS, then may I could still get it on Monday. This from the UPS site: In addition, the following holidays are recognized, but not observed: President's Day - February 21, 2005 (plus a whole list of other holidays, won't include them in this post, see link) "Recognized, but not observed". If they don't "observe" it, then how is it "recognized"??? Edited February 18, 2005 by Rooster_Ties Quote
keys Posted February 18, 2005 Report Posted February 18, 2005 Last night at the Charles Tolliver Big band show I overheard Michael Cuscuna tell someone that the Hill selects had just arrived that morning. Quote
Brad Posted February 18, 2005 Report Posted February 18, 2005 Rooster, They don't use USPS. Airborne or UPS is more like it. Since they presumably arrived on Thursday, they should have shipped out yesterday. I'm guessing that I'll get mine today if it goes UPS since it only takes one day from CT to Joisey. About your wife, where are priorities man? We may have to change your avatar Quote

Reminds me of my FAVORITE Cat Shatner photo... Some day I'd love to hear the story behind the creation of Cat Shatner. He wasn't created. He always was and always will be. Actually, since I work in Photoshop, I love messing with photos. I did a whole series of animals in the Star Trek outfit, but only Cat Shatner came to life.... I think WD45 named him Cat Shatner (sorry if I'm wrong)... I used to call him James T. Cat. I think the bigger story is his adventures in that whipped cream, but to each his own. ** Sorry for another thread hijack ** Back to our previously scheduled programming... Quote

ASNL77 Posted February 18, 2005 Report Posted February 18, 2005 (edited) I don't have any Mosaic Select only MD sets. What do they look like? On the mosaic website they look like a solid thick box containing 3 jewel cases, on the Amazon UK website and on ebay (Don Pullen), they look like LP sleeves. Any help? Edited February 18, 2005 by ASNL77 Quote
jazzbo Posted February 18, 2005 Report Posted February 18, 2005 They are individual plain old jewel cases within a thin paper slipcover "box" . . .! Quote
jazzbo Posted February 18, 2005 Report Posted February 18, 2005 WOW Jim, that was FAST! Mine will probably be here next week Tuesday; I know how my life goes! Quote
