Chuck Nessa Posted May 17, 2007 Report Posted May 17, 2007 Looks like a batch of Blue Note RVG may be coming soon to BMG/yourmusic. A search thru BMG shows A Dexter Gordon new release coming soon. Probably CLUBHOUSE. Also listed are the McLean, Byrd and Hill releases. Quote
Aggie87 Posted May 28, 2007 Report Posted May 28, 2007 Joe Zawinul - Brown Street (2cd) Oscar Peterson/Roy Brown/Milt Jackson - What's Up? - The Very Tall Band Grateful Dead - Live at Cow Palace (3cd) Jerry Garcia - Very Best of (2cd) Crowded House - Farewell to the World (2cd) Lucinda Williams - West ...no sign of the BN's yet. GA Russell Posted May 28, 2007 Report Posted May 28, 2007 I hear the Joe Zawinul Brown Street fairly often on the radio. He seems to be doing the same thing he did on World Tour seven years ago. Quote
kh1958 Posted June 4, 2007 Report Posted June 4, 2007 They've added the recent Blue Note releases of Steve Kuhn and Charles Tolliver, and the Horace Silver RVG You've Got to Take a Little Love. Quote
Aggie87 Posted June 4, 2007 Report Posted June 4, 2007 Also: Madeline Peyroux - Half the Perfect World Wynton Marsalis - From the Plantation to the Penitentiary Kenny Werner - Lawn Chair Society Viktor Krauss II Lou Donaldson - Lush Life Andy Narell - Tatoom Quote
GA Russell Posted June 4, 2007 Report Posted June 4, 2007 Thanks kh. I've put the Tolliver in my queue for next month. Quote
Big Al Posted June 4, 2007 Author Report Posted June 4, 2007 Only two of the February RVGs? Sheesh! I'll stop waiting on them and start getting the RVGs I've been waiting for (Clubhouse, Detroit-New York Junction, New & Old Gospel) elsewhere. Quote
jazzbo Posted June 4, 2007 Report Posted June 4, 2007 Wait a little bit. .. it's not even Tuesday yet. . .a few more may show up. Quote
jazzbo Posted June 4, 2007 Report Posted June 4, 2007 Coming Soon: A new album by Dexter Gordon Yes, please e-mail me when it's available. Quote
bertrand Posted June 4, 2007 Report Posted June 4, 2007 Thanks for the update - I added the Tolliver. How's the Steve Kuhn? After a moment of reflection (there is no scientific instrument precise enough to measure this brief amount of time), I've decided to pass on the Marsalis Bertrand. Quote
kh1958 Posted June 4, 2007 Report Posted June 4, 2007 (edited) Thanks for the update - I added the Tolliver. How's the Steve Kuhn? After a moment of reflection (there is no scientific instrument precise enough to measure this brief amount of time), I've decided to pass on the Marsalis Bertrand. The Steve Kuhn is better than the Charles Tolliver release, in my opinion. (Unlike a lot of the opinion I saw expressed, I was lukewarm on the Tolliver CD--the Kuhn is a very nice trio release.) Aggie87 Posted June 4, 2007 Report Posted June 4, 2007 I'm interested in the Werner - good set of musicians on that one - Dave Douglas, Chris Potter, Brian Blade, & Scott Colley. Had some pretty positive comments in this thread, and the one linked in it as well. Quote

Aggie87 Posted June 5, 2007 Report Posted June 5, 2007 Here's a first (that I know of): YMB2G1 - Buy 2, Get 1 Free at yourmusic! Quote
Parkertown Posted June 6, 2007 Report Posted June 6, 2007 It's not working for me...says invalid... Quote
Aggie87 Posted June 6, 2007 Report Posted June 6, 2007 It's not working for me...says invalid... I just got the same message. Maybe it was a one-day only code. I successfully ordered 4 cds (plus 2 free) with that code yesterday. My total order (with tax) was $30.28, or $5.04 apiece, which is actually cheaper than the original $4.99 (plus tax) price. Hopefully they'll do it again. Quote
sjarrell Posted June 10, 2007 Report Posted June 10, 2007 Just got an email that LD's Lush Life is no longer available and has been removed from my queue. WTF? That lasted less than a week, right? Quote
Tom 1960 Posted June 10, 2007 Report Posted June 10, 2007 Funny, I received an email in the past few days stating the release might not be available based on it's position in my queue. I moved it up to August and now it's history. Quote
T.D. Posted June 16, 2007 Report Posted June 16, 2007 Damn. I just got a defective CD from yourmusic. My June queue selection, Horace-Scope, skips and doesn't play properly. I e-mailed customer service, but am not optimistic about getting a response. OTOH, the one time I had a problem with a BMG Club order, almost 10 years ago, they sent me a replacement disc immediately, without requiring the bad CD to be mailed back. So there's slight cause for hope... Quote

Then they will probably ask you to verify your shipping address, which will mean emailing them again, which will add another week. Then, if it is still available, they will ship you a replacement disc. Quote

Dave Garrett Posted June 19, 2007 Report Posted June 19, 2007 Just ordered the Complete Led Zeppelin from BMG. Gotta take advantage of the free shipping thing on 10 discs! What's the promo code for free shipping? I don't remember getting an email from BMG about that one, and I've been holding off on getting a couple of box sets until they ran another free shipping deal. Quote
