Free For All Posted June 5, 2006 Report Posted June 5, 2006 I would guess they are, though I'm not 100% certain. I ordered Corea's Light as a Feather because they included the song samples and AMG review of the 2CD version...and ended up with the regular old Polygram CD, so I guess it's order at your own risk. I bit on this one too. Did you return it or contact them? It's certainly a misrepresentation of the product. Quote
bluesbro Posted June 6, 2006 Report Posted June 6, 2006 The Miles Smiles is the remastered version. Not sure about ESP. Quote

GregK Posted July 3, 2006 Report Posted July 3, 2006 it's been a long dry spell. I think I am going to cancel my subscription and check back in 6 months or something. I have run out of discs to buy! Quote
GA Russell Posted July 3, 2006 Report Posted July 3, 2006 It looks like Concord/Fantasy's relationship with BMG/Your Music is history. Six weeks ago I put the Prestige John Coltrane Plays For Lovers in my queue, and two weeks later I received an email saying that if I wanted it I would have to buy it NOW. (Which I did.) Now I see that all Sonny Rollins, Thelonious Monk and Bill Evans Fantasy/OJCs are no longer listed. So it looks like that party is over. Quote

Looks like that's the trend (in fact, jazz is really looking bad right now), so I've been using Yourmusic mostly for Classical & Rock -- still good buys in these two areas. Quote

chris olivarez Posted July 3, 2006 Report Posted July 3, 2006 Sorry Greg. Guilty as charged of hijacking. Nobody on the board uses the BMG thread anymore so I borrowed this one but they do have something in common(1)They're both run by the same company(2)They're both going down the drain. Quote
Tjazz Posted July 4, 2006 Report Posted July 4, 2006 (1)They're both run by the same company(2)They're both going down the drain. ?? Down the drain?? Some of the HOT new items were Merle Haggard twofers re-issues and the Linda Ronstadt CAPITOL YEARS (2) set. Quote

vanbeat Posted July 5, 2006 Report Posted July 5, 2006 (edited) I placed a fairly large first-time order on 6/30, and as of today (7/4) the items are not yet shipped and I've received no confirmation... is this typical, or did I screw up somewhere? -van Edited July 5, 2006 by vanbeat Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted July 5, 2006 Report Posted July 5, 2006 I would not worry about it over the holiday weekend. It usually takes them a few days to ship. FWIW, Blakey, Mobley and Hill CDs are "coming soon" to yourmusic Quote
vanbeat Posted July 5, 2006 Report Posted July 5, 2006 Thanks Chuck. I guess I was just expecting the typical automated confirmation. Even with their limited selection it seems like a great place to buy from... -van Quote
