Aggie87 Posted July 12, 2005 Report Posted July 12, 2005 Not much happening at yourmusic lately, but a couple of new titles that I noticed: Harry Edison - Sweets Joe Newman Quintet - at Count Basie's Quote
jazzkrow Posted July 12, 2005 Report Posted July 12, 2005 It's so hard to know which of the RVG and Verve LPR that yourmusic.com will be getting... I had just bought the new LPR that are now listed. At least though I only paid $6.99 each-plus shipping at the J & R sale. It could have been worse..... Quote
Aggie87 Posted July 12, 2005 Report Posted July 12, 2005 A couple more just showed up apparently: Al Cohn - The Al Cohn Quintet (warning: w/Bob Brookmeyer!) Dizzy Gillespie - Sittin' In Quote

Aggie87 Posted July 18, 2005 Report Posted July 18, 2005 I don't have this deal currently. Still have the "Buy 1, Get 2 free, then take unlimited 80% Off" offer. Is there a code associated with the deal you're posting? Quote
Joe G Posted July 18, 2005 Report Posted July 18, 2005 BMG is offering... Helmuth Rilling Edition Bachakademie: The Complete Works of J.S. Bach 172 CD $399 w/free S&H. That works out to $2.32 per disc. Quote

If you aren't offered the deal, I can order for you; Just pay me thru paypal (cover the state taxes and any paypal fees), and I'll have BMG ship directly to you. If several people order, the total would only have to be $30 for the bulk order, but the CDs can be shipped to several address. So buyers could just order 1 or 2 CDs. (like the 2-CD Blue Note sets for $6.66 are a bargain) Donald Byrd : At The Half Note Café (2-CD) $6.66 Freddie Hubbard : The Night Of The Cookers Volumes 1 & 2 (2-CD) $6.66 Artie Shaw, Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Coleman Hawkins, Fats Waller, or Glenn Miller : The Centennial Collection (1 CD/1 DVD) $6.66 Terence Edited July 18, 2005 by Tjazz Quote

Big Wheel Posted August 16, 2005 Report Posted August 16, 2005 I'm pretty late to this whole Yourmusic party. Is the packaging identical to what you would get in a retail store? One thing that turned me off about BMG was that some of the discs were packaged differently. Quote

I haven't checked my copies of Dance With Death and Of Love and Peace too closely, but they seem normal, except for the big "$5.99" printed on the CD itself. Just kidding. Guy Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted August 16, 2005 Report Posted August 16, 2005 Many have different UPC symbols. BFD. Quote

I've ordered a couple of things from yourmusic that "normally" come in digipacks and/or with special carboard sleeves, and that's what I've gotten from yourmusic. Chuck Nessa Posted August 16, 2005 Report Posted August 16, 2005 Understand they are selling the same product as BMG. The product is supplied by the original labels and it is up to them if they alter the packages in any way. Quote
jazzbo Posted August 17, 2005 Report Posted August 17, 2005 Do any new jazz items appear this week? I didn't see any. BUT the Rene Olstead album has replaced the Chris Botti album as "Featured Album." What would they think of our musical tastes? Quote

WD45 Posted August 18, 2005 Report Posted August 18, 2005 The Edison was the most recent thing form my queue. What a great record! Quote
