It's so hard to know which of the RVG and Verve LPR that yourmusic.com will be getting...

I had just bought the new LPR that are now listed.

At least though I only paid $6.99 each-plus shipping :beee: at the J & R sale.

It could have been worse.....

A couple more just showed up apparently:

Al Cohn - The Al Cohn Quintet (warning: w/Bob Brookmeyer!)

Dizzy Gillespie - Sittin' In

You beat me to it. By the way, the LP version of "The Al Cohn Quintet" has a glowing AMG review here.

Just noticed that Volumes 2 and 3 of the new Grant Green Original Jam Master Series from Blue Note are now available. Presumably, Volume 1 is not far behind.

Don't know of any code.

If you aren't offered the deal, I can order for you;

Just pay me thru paypal (cover the state taxes and any paypal fees), and I'll have BMG ship directly to you.

If several people order, the total would only have to be $30 for the bulk order, but the CDs can be shipped to several address. So buyers could just order 1 or 2 CDs. (like the 2-CD Blue Note sets for $6.66 are a bargain)

Donald Byrd : At The Half Note Café (2-CD) $6.66

Freddie Hubbard : The Night Of The Cookers Volumes 1 & 2 (2-CD) $6.66

Artie Shaw, Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Coleman Hawkins, Fats Waller, or Glenn Miller :

The Centennial Collection (1 CD/1 DVD) $6.66

I'm pretty late to this whole Yourmusic party. Is the packaging identical to what you would get in a retail store? One thing that turned me off about BMG was that some of the discs were packaged differently.

I think so. I haven't checked my copies of Dance With Death and Of Love and Peace too closely, but they seem normal, except for the big "$5.99" printed on the CD itself. Just kidding.

So far, the packaging is the same. I've ordered a couple of things from yourmusic that "normally" come in digipacks and/or with special carboard sleeves, and that's what I've gotten from yourmusic. Edited by gdogus

Do any new jazz items appear this week? I didn't see any.

BUT the Rene Olstead album has replaced the Chris Botti album as "Featured Album."

What would they think of our musical tastes? :o:blink::wacko:

Just got the;

Harry Edison - Sweets

Joe Newman - At Count Basie's

Al Cohen

All were digipacks / sealed with no BMG labels.

I wanted to get these from BMG with enrollment deals, but for some reason, these CDs were restricted. Bit the bullet and bought them thru yourmusic.

Here are a couple that I just noticed:

Dave Brubeck - London Sharp, London Flat

Drew Gress - 7 Black Butterflies (w/Berne & Alessi)

...man, seems like the yourmusic.com well has been pretty dry as of late.

Nothing much again:

Jamie Cullum - Twenty Something (dualdisc)

Keren Ann - Nolita (is she another BN Norah?)

Adrian Belew - Side One

Jefferson Airplane - The Essential

Widespread Panic - Live at Myrtle Beach

Michael McDonald - Motown Two

Paul Westerberg - Besterberg/Best of

I'm going to jump on the Belew...maybe the JA, but that's it.
