gdogus
My Blues in Orbit arrived, completely demolished. It was so bad, the post office shrink-wrapped the whole lot to keep the shards of jewel case from going all places. ← Interesting. My Blues in Orbit arrived a couple of days ago, the jewel case also a bit shattered - cracked, some loose, broken plastic pieces from the spine - though not nearly as badly as yours, and no damage to the mailer packaging. I haven't had another problem with damaged merchandise from yourmusic. Edited November 19, 2005 by gdogus
montg
Geez, I've gotten some beat up CDs in the mail, but nothing like that! It looks like somebody snapped on some jack boots and danced on it like zorba the greek. Then sent it on its way. Yourmusic will send you another one when you return it, but what a hassle. John B
I just got a notice in my queue that Art Blakey's Drum Suite isn't going to be around much longer.
jazzbo
Just got the Blakey, Gordon, and Brookmeyer last night! Whew! I bet this has to do with the copyprotection. . . they may be back in noncopyprotected fomr? (I haven't checked those I receive to see if they are protected or not),
Ron S
It is indeed the copy protection issue. I received notices today that each of the new copy protected Sony discs in my queue will not be available on the queue ship date, and that I should buy them now if I want them. I didn't. I would be very surprised if they didn't return at a future date in "clean" form.
Stefan Wood
Can we say..... Collector's Items??????
Ron S
Yep, just checked--they've all disappeared from the "new arrivals" section. It's like it never happened. 'Cept for that copy of "Silver's Blue" sitting on my desk waiting to be mailed to the Sony exchange program.
Chalupa
New stuff added. Miles Davis - Complete Jack Johnson sessions That can't be right. I got that from them last Winter along w/ the 7 Steps box. Well my Seven Steps order came today - 5 days after I ordered it. Pretty good turn around time. One small problem though. Instead of the Seven Steps box they sent the Jack Johnson box. I already have the JJ box or else I would keep it and ask for a refund. Now let's see how long it takes them to remedy the situation..... See above Edited November 22, 2005 by Chalupa

Identical, except the artwork on the discs themselves is slightly different (for example, the metal spine version of the Miles-Coltrane box had nothing but that dot on the discs, but in the longbox version the discs have the song titles on them). Plus, the book is removable so it's easier to read than the metal spine version
Big Al
Several new items today: Gerry Mulligan--Jeru Ahmad Jamal--The Legendary Okeh and Epic Recordings Woody Shaw--Stepping Stones: Live At The Village Vanguard Bob Brookmeyer--Bob Brookmeyer & Friends Horace Silver--Silver's Blue Dexter Gordon--Manhattan Symphonie The ones in bold are no longer available. Wonder why?
jazzbo
They were removed because Sony is recalling all the copy protected copies out there. . . and these titles were copy protected. Will yourmusic.com pick them up again when the replacements are out? We'll see. . . .
Stefan Wood
New items: Ethel Merman - The World is You Balloon Bob Dylan - No Direction Home Nancy Wilson - The Great American Songbook Wynton Marsalis - Live at the House of Tribes Nancy Wilson - Save Your Love for Me C'mon, who wouldn't want the Ethel Merman???? md655321
big on the Dylan. Especially disc two, which is largely outtakes of High 61/Blonde on Blond/ Bringin it all Back Home. A lot of different rhythms compared to the released version. Sorta like how Bob flips everything up live.
jazzbo
Yes, I love that Dylan. . . . My favorite is the Desolation Row with just Dylan, Kooper (on gibox) and Brooks.
