I received my copy in today's mail, and it looks beautiful (can't wait to read it). Just going through the first couple of pages took my breath away. One of the great aspects of the book is Desmond's strong bond with his father, who was a composer, and the reproduction of their letters to each other through the years. I heard Barnes and Noble has the book for 30% off. Maybe that's the way to go-probably will be awhile before there are many used mint (reviewers) copies around?..... Very impressive Bad news was the French customs people who decided to add a $20 bill for opening the package and check what was inside And me who thought this did not happen with book shipments from the USA! Not that any excuse is necessary, but this is a great excuse to read the biography or listen to Take Ten (or anything Desmond) again.
