EKE BBB Posted January 12, 2005 Report Posted January 12, 2005 Star Eyes. This one gets stuck in my head a lot. Anything I've ever struggled to improvise over tends to implant itself. That one´s frequently stuck in my head as well. I never improvised over it (in fact I´ve never improvised over any song, as I´m not a musician ), but everytime I hear Charlie Parker playing it, I keep whistling it for quite a few days! Quote

The intro snags me, and I'm a goner. Quote
brownie Posted January 12, 2005 Report Posted January 12, 2005 I'm stuck with the Charlie Parker with strings version of 'Laura'! And I love it! Quote
catesta Posted January 12, 2005 Report Posted January 12, 2005 For the past few days it's been Bill Evans doing "I Loves You Porgy". On the scary side..... My girlfriend has a 13 year old son, his alarm clock is set to a top 40 (seems like the top 5 though) station at full volume level. In the mornings when I'm getting ready to leave the radio comes on and I seem to hear the same fucking song right around the same fucking part every morning. Don't know the name of the song, but it's Usher with Alicia Keys, I believe. The kid has it as the ringtone on his cell phone which goes off every 10-20 minutes as well. I would rather he have taken the heavy metal route. Somebody hep me, hep me, PA.....leeeaaazzze! Quote
sal Posted January 12, 2005 Report Posted January 12, 2005 A strange combination this morning.....its "Wagon Wheels" from Sonny Rollins' Way Out West album, and "Close Edge" by Mos Def. Quote
