WD45 Posted August 30, 2005 Report Posted August 30, 2005 (edited) FWIW, another 50%-off sale is on, and if anyone has the code for 60%-off, I'd be much obliged. Wonder why those cheapskates don't ever send the 60% sale to me? ← Maybe you order too many box sets during their best promotions? Got this one today for 60% off no shipping 48 Hour sale, August 29-30: A5DS2 ← Wow, 60% off! Best I've seen is 2/3 off w/free shipping. But I'll use this 60% off and get the Ryan Adams COLD ROSES 2-CD $19 list set. Thanks ← Wow! I don't think I've ever seen 2/3-off AND free shipping! What a deal that would be! ← Just used this sweet deal to order Bob Marley - "Trenchtown Rock: Anthology 1969-78." Only $9.99 -- remindes me of the unspeakable of the $4.99 yourmusic.com days. riverrat Posted September 1, 2005 Report Posted September 1, 2005 Not sure why I keep getting these, maybe they read my mind and realize I was about ready to cancel my membership. At any rate, here is another BMG coupon for 60% off no shipping, for 2 days only (Sept 1-2): A5DS18 FWIW, they will tack on shipping to some orders with box sets. The coupon does say that it doesn't apply to box sets, although the prices on many of them do reflect the 60% off, and it appears possible to order at least one without getting shipping tacked on. But I ordered three box sets and had to pay about $6 in shipping. Still much better than their usual exhorbitant shipping charges. Quote
Aggie87 Posted October 5, 2005 Report Posted October 5, 2005 $5.99 plus free shipping when u buy 5 or more: Code C5FS6 ..Basically getting you the "yourmusic" price. But there might be some discs that BMG has that yourmusic doesn't. I know that's the case with some of the box sets, but not so sure about the individual discs. Quote
Free For All Posted October 5, 2005 Report Posted October 5, 2005 AFAIC, the only time BMG is really a deal is when they lower prices AND waive S&H. Otherwise even with lower prices it's not that great a deal when you factor in S&H. Quote
GregK Posted October 5, 2005 Report Posted October 5, 2005 $4.99 unlimited (you still pay shipping) with this code: C5FS2 Quote
Free For All Posted October 5, 2005 Report Posted October 5, 2005 $4.99 unlimited (you still pay shipping) with this code: C5FS2 ← If you have to pay S&H the other deal will be MUCH better ($5.99/ no S&H). S&H totally negates savings at BMG. I ALWAYS wait 'til they waive it. And they do frequently. Like now. Just ordered some stuff. Quote

Joe G Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 (edited) Columbia mistakenly enrolled me in the Latin music club, and now it seems I have an introductory offer for the BMG latin club. I'm thinking about trying to use that order the 12 for 1 to see if they catch it. Edited October 11, 2005 by Joe G Quote
chris olivarez Posted November 2, 2005 Report Posted November 2, 2005 I received a call tonight from BMG with an offer of 12cd's for the price of three but because of the sorry state of the "new offerings" I declined. I couldn't think of 12 selections right now that they're offering that would make it worth my time, trouble and money. Quote
montg Posted November 5, 2005 Report Posted November 5, 2005 I've noticed in the new releases section that some ECM titles have been added: Keith Jarrett, Charles Lloyd, Tord Gustavsen. I have no interest in these titles, but it's good to see BMG expanding beyond the US conglomerate labels. Quote

md655321 Posted December 3, 2005 Report Posted December 3, 2005 Not sure what everyone's discount is right now, but I have 5.99 cds plus free shipping if you buy 5, making box sets a great deal. Right now you can get the Complete Impulse Recording of Coltrane for 36.39, which is in my opinion, without a doubt, the greatest deal in the history of recorded music. Additionally, the heavyweight champion is 43.99. Someone you know could use some christmas gifts! I think i need to finally pull the trigger on the Clifford Brown blue note box. Anyone want to push me over the edge? Quote
