Kevin Bresnahan Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 The "Straight, No Filter" for $2.99 isn't bad, either. It wasn't too long ago, before this was reissued, that someone paid over $300 on ebay for this one. Pays to be patient sometimes. The older version of the CD of "Straight No Filter" is sequenced very differently from the one in print today. Because of that, it still has collectibility and does still go for over $50 on ebay (when one does show up... it is pretty rare). Quote

Aggie87 Posted April 27, 2004 Report Posted April 27, 2004 (edited) Just noticed the new Dave Douglas, "Strange Liberation" with Uri Caine & Bill Frisell, on the website. edit - they also added some of Pat Metheny's old ECM titles as well, if anyone's looking for 'em... Edited April 27, 2004 by Aggie87 Quote
scottb Posted April 27, 2004 Report Posted April 27, 2004 Who can recommend which of those Methenys to pick up? Has anyone else been invited to join the "new" BMG? The offer is $7.99 per disc free shipping all the time. I think I do a little better than this with the current plan so I think I'll pass. Quote

Aggie87 Posted April 28, 2004 Report Posted April 28, 2004 I don't have it yet, but have read some good reviews here and there. There's some interesting comments about Douglas in this thread... By the way, you're very lucky you have a radio station in your area that plays this kind of music!! My choices seem to be classic rock, top 40 (or whatever it's called these days), or tejano Quote
