I know that he's getting up in years (born in 1920). Is he still actively playing? Does he still front a big band in California from time to time? Quote

My grandfather tried to get him to bring a band to Richmond, VA once and Ray told him "You couldn't afford it!" Grandaddy always gets a kick out of telling that story.
