Okay, I know all about the stigma that the alto has for some. A lot of alto players don't get talked about much, some deservedly so.

Here's a guy that should be talked about though: T. K. Blue, or Talib Kibwe if you will. Long a musical director/frontliner for Randy Weston, and also a leader in his own right. The man can PLAY!

How about the mystery alto player .. Earl Anderza .... see his album on BN.... Whatever happened to him?? Some of us have been asking this for years ... The Judge Crater of Jazz ...

well - I produced and released that Schildkraut CD - I recorded it live in New Haven 1979 - I think he plays quite brilliantly - I'm willing, in the interests of argument, to send it to anyone here for cost and let them judge for themselves - assuming this does not violate any commercial rules here - let me know if you are interested -
