Dan Aldag wrote this in the last issue of DEMS bulletin:

When Clark Terry was here to play with my band last spring, he told me he had just finished his autobiography. Does anyone know anything about when it might be published? CT said that the book was going to be controversial because "I told the truth!"

Finally, the Clark Terry autobiography will be issued by the University of California Press on October 1.

I was using it metaphorically, that is, there are a lot of preliminaries before you get to the book itself (do your own extrapolation!). But still.....one hopes one is never too old

Have been browsing the book. At first sight it looks informative and entertaining, although it also looks that the authors haven't stuck very strictly to chronological order.
