I'm not sure to spent some money on a Pacific LP which has green vinyl. Can somebody give me a hint concerning sound quality? Could this one be an ORIGINAL release??? Thanks.

That probably is an original PJ. I had a number of PJ and Fantasy colored vinyl lp's back in the day.

I had them green, red, blue, yellow and you name it. The colored vinyl sounded the same as the black. Two that i remember having were Les McCann's The Shout and Dave Brubeck/Bill Smith Near Myth.

I have read somewhere that colored vinyl is more delicate. I have only a Zappa's picture lp that I don't listen to, I listen to a black version.

Correction: I have several Ryko double transparent green vinyl of David Bowie, I bought them used, and their condition are not great, but it doesn't mean they were originally bad.

I think the primary reason for color vinyl is that it looked SO DAMN COOL :D

Especially when "mood-enhanced."

Anyway, one problem from a collector's point of view is that it is hard to spot defects and wear in the vinyl. But I get them anyway. I have some cool yellow ones, blue and red too, though don't think I have any green ones.

This is an important issue from a collection management position as well. Both during acquisition (i.e. the initial item condition assessment) and playback (when making preservation masters).
