Stefan Wood Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 Yes, even though I have a decent tube set up, I have recently purchased an amp for movies and such. But, it is in a different room so I would like to hook up a turntable to it. There is no phono input to the amp (Yamaha) -- I know there are adapters for adding a turntable........... the question is, which one to get? Quote
Claude Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 (edited) How much do you want to spend? There are good phono stages by NAD (PP1 and PP2), Creek (OBH8) and Pro-ject (Phonobox), that cost between $100-200. You can also find $25 adaptors that merely do the job, but if you intend to listen seriously to your LPs it is worth spending more (probably the only phono preamp you will ever buy) Edited June 2, 2003 by Claude Quote
Stefan Wood Posted June 2, 2003 Author Report Posted June 2, 2003 I can definitely do the $100- $200 range. I'll check out some of those you listed. Thanks! Quote
