The Eddy Louiss album is not be missed. Also, though he is quite rightly a bit subdued on it, I love Klook's playing with Konitz and Marsh on their Atlantic album. The pairing of Klook and Pettiford, always special, plus Billy Bauer -- mmm.

Maurice VANDER is a particular case! And a remarkably underrated pianist!

Vandair is how he appeared in his early days.

But his real name is Maurice Vanderschueren!

I also believe he's on some of the Blue Note JJ Johnson sides.

Indeed he is. I only have vol. 2 (which I'm listening to right now). He shares the percussion duties with Sabu Martinez (congas) on the first date that also features Mingus and Wynton Kelly. Not sure how I feel about the congas on that session.
