Big Wheel Posted December 12, 2004 Report Posted December 12, 2004 (edited) Yikes! Is it just me, or is Gene Harris a dead ringer for an older Alan Keyes? Edited December 12, 2004 by Big Wheel Quote
Dan Gould Posted December 12, 2004 Report Posted December 12, 2004 I suggest: Why butt in with negativity? People aren't debating Gene Harris' music, they're sharing recommendations. If you don't have any, than kindly butt out. And if you really don't have the taste to appreciate any of his music, then to borrow a phrase, If you do not like Gene Harris, you are stupid ass-donkey moron who no like jazz!!! Quote

neveronfriday Posted December 12, 2004 Author Report Posted December 12, 2004 If you do not like Gene Harris, you are stupid ass-donkey moron who no like jazz!!! That line is turning into a modern classic! Seriously now. I have no problem with someone else not liking what I like (if that was actually the content of Chuck's post). Hell, I like Oscar Peterson and I can take the other board members' abuse. I, for example, simply very much dislike free jazz etc., and I say so once in a while, but it doesn't stop me from reading about it here. Maybe I'll pick up a taste for it one day and if so, it was probably because of this board more than anything else. So, someone not liking Gene Harris or anything else I like is no skin off my nose. Cheers! Quote
Jeffro Posted December 14, 2004 Report Posted December 14, 2004 There's always The Best of the Three Sounds, which may be out of print. (I was lucky enough to find a good deal on a used copy.) Quote
