I'm not much for the mumblin' schtick, so it doesn't do all that much for me. But Terry is always an interesting player. I'll pull this out tonight for a fresh listen. It's been quite a while.

As promised, I pulled this out last night. Thankfully, only one mumblin' number ("Never"); the rest is enjoyable, if predictible, material. The band appears to be having fun.

I enjoy Clark Terry, mumbling or not. Anyone know how his health is? He's opted out of two gigs I've been at in the past couple years (Oscar Peterson @ Hollywood Bowl in 2001 and Monterey Jazz Festival, 2004), due to medical reasons, but I don't know much beyond that.
