One thing I liked on the other board was the entry of a poster's location, just below their post number and status. For some reason, it helped me better remember certain posters when I had a geographic connection (East Coast, UK, EU, Japan, etc.).

What do you think? Could we bring this feature onto profiles — meaning the profile we all see when reading a thread? I know it's listed when you follow the links to a poster's profile (if they've chosen to fill in that datum), but I always thought it was nice to see just under a user's handle.

Thoughts? Opinons? Greazy?

Don't mean to pile on, but I rather liked that feature on the BNBB as well. When I don't have a more significant signature, I often make mine "Kansas City (MO), USA", to approximate the old feature, but it doesn't help that much if everyone else isn't doing it too.

It ain't no big deal if you can't do it b3-er, but if you can - I'd be a happy guy!! :D

Ummmm.... Any luck on this one?

I'm having trouble sleeping with this not knowing where certain members are at any given moment.

Maybe we can all be outfitted with one of those ankle bracelet real-time locator systems?

Tony,

This isn't available in the software at this time and my programming skills aren't good enough to implement this myself. They just came out with an update for this software (ver. 1.2) but I don't think it's in there, either. The good thing is that the programmers take suggestions. I'll email them and suggest this feature in the next update.

Dear Mr. Alfredson,

Have we lost the location feature?

Yours most sincerly,

Hey, I didn't even notice! Since that was a feature added on to the original software (a mod) and I then updated the software to a new version, we lost that feature.

I'll have to see if I can put it in again.

Thanks for the heads-up!

I refuse to wear an ankle bracelet, unless it's lightweight, attractive and 22K.

The heavy, plastic kind invite stares and derision here in Calgary, AB. Canada.

But, I'm with Chuck on this. I know where I am, when I post. Right here, in front of my computer.

Yeah, but how do we know that? How do we know your being right there in front of your computer isn't a red herring designed to send us on the wildest crazy wild goose chase ever, huh? Huh, huh?

Then why does everyone try to go "find themselves"?

Jazz, I guess you don't really know and it could indeed be a red herring...heh heh.

Are people still trying to "find themselves"?? I thought they quit doing that years ago. I just go like this.......there I am.
