Very nice price for the Monk Columbia box! Even though I will sooner or later have all the individual albums, I wouldn't want to be without the box. A real nice one!

I'd like the Village Vanguard sessions if available. Are they the ones with Thad Jones/Mel Lewis on one and Gillespie/Adams on another?

Gee, two guys who are into Sanders. My feeling is that whenever he does Trane material, I yearn to listen to Trane. Hence, it's available.

Maybe I've never forgiven him for wigging out this young 18 year old honey that I took to the Vanguard in December '66 (I was 21). When he appeared screeching his head off - this was the last Trane group that included Alice, Garrison & Ali - the date looked at me as if to say, "I thought you liked me. Why are you subjecting me to this?" My problem was, I could see her point. B-)

Conversely, he may have done you a favor. If not for Pharoah you may have married her, had a messy divorce that cost you most of your assets along with a huge monthly alimony payment and, as a result, currently be living in a box under an overpass.

PS-I much prefer Pharoah as a leader than with Trane.
