Bright Moments Posted November 9, 2004 Report Posted November 9, 2004 well, i admit it! i need to know why mary alice killed herself! will bree's marriage be saved? will carlos discover that gabrielle is cheating on him with the lawn boy?!!!! will sunday night ever come?!!! Quote
jazzbo Posted November 9, 2004 Report Posted November 9, 2004 I ALMOST like this show. I gave it a chance, but. . . . It's just got a layer of chezzwhizziness I can't get beyond. It needs a bit more grit or depth. I watched it for three weeks and I'm letting it go. . .despite it's OBVIOUS charms. Quote

Noj Posted November 9, 2004 Report Posted November 9, 2004 They should have called this show "MILF Hunt." Quote

Guest Chaney Posted November 9, 2004 Report Posted November 9, 2004 Okay, I confess... my 73 year old mother watches the show. Pretty certain she's not catchin' its MILF-related value, though. Apparently the show operates on many levels? Quote
Man with the Golden Arm Posted November 9, 2004 Report Posted November 9, 2004 I'll not confess but ... that scene with the burrito!!!! Needs a pinch more Lynch ... you know some One Eyed Jacks, White Lodge, Well Dressed Man, Beamans Gum .... but they do have some Killer Bobs! Quote

RDK Posted November 9, 2004 Report Posted November 9, 2004 Fun show. I didn't dig it that much at first, but it's growing on me. Definitely has a Twin Peaks vibe about it. Not the edge, of course, but that's probably a good thing for anyone wishing for the show to last. Quote
jazzbo Posted November 9, 2004 Report Posted November 9, 2004 I guess I want the edginess it doesn't have. . . well I could keep watching to see if it develops. . . there are a few reasons to watch. . . . Quote
Bright Moments Posted November 9, 2004 Author Report Posted November 9, 2004 ok lon, you started it! Quote

Please tell me, in a private mail if need be. Quote

Mothers I'd Like to (I think you can figure out the last word) I think it reached the popular culture through the movie American Pie ... now its a huge category of internet p*rn (so I've been told) ... and I read somewhere that Britney Spears was seen in a t-shirt which said, "MILF In-Training" Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted November 9, 2004 Report Posted November 9, 2004 Another reason to throw out my TV. Quote
kulu se mama Posted November 9, 2004 Report Posted November 9, 2004 my wife won't miss it, but i have to agree with lon. there is a level of cheeziness in the narrative style. i would prefer something a little darker a little more serious. although, i've loved felicity huffman (sp.) ever since "sportsnight." RDK Posted November 9, 2004 Report Posted November 9, 2004 But the "frommage" is exactly what's to love about the show! Quote
jazzbo Posted November 9, 2004 Report Posted November 9, 2004 Good point I guess, and it definitely wouldn't be a runaway hit if it were smarter and more creative than it is. . . . I still wish it were though. Quote
jazzbo Posted November 9, 2004 Report Posted November 9, 2004 And it says here. . . "Some people would rather see babies than babes. What's up with that?" Quote
