Thanks for all of the good words and wishes.

I had a very relaxing day - a good thing when you hit the advanced age of 59.

I'm still having a hard time believing that I've gotten this old.

Joan and I went out to a birthday breakfast after church this morning. Then, while she was using the computer to do report cards (my wife is a first grade teacher), I treated myself to some good listening time - John Fahey, Jimmy Smith, Charlie Haden, and some assorted blues sides.

I've ordered a couple of books for myself as after birthday presents - Lincoln Beauchamp's Art Ensemble book and Larry Kart's new book. I'm looking forward to reading those later in the week.

Anyway, thanks again. I feel that in some way that I've shared my day with friends at Organissimo.
