Cyrus 8 plus CD8

I am thinking of pulling the trigger on these, I am not a hi-fi or audio freak but I like what I hear so far however I have not had the opportunity to compare other systems. Any thoughts out there about this set up?

What I've read is that the Cyrus compoents have pretty good synergy together, but the speakers needs to be carefully matched; otherwise, there is a tendency to sound bright. Cyrus has taken over (? joined up?) with Epos and you usually see them marketing the electronics and the speakers together.
