Shawn Posted September 4, 2004 Report Posted September 4, 2004 I have no imagination...so my handle is the same on all the boards I frequent. Must not be many jazz fans named Shawn out there.... I did have a couple alternate "handles" at the old BNBB. I used to post occasionally under the names H.P. Lovecraft & Ardeth Bey. Quote
BeBop Posted September 4, 2004 Report Posted September 4, 2004 I have many names. Names of splendor. Names of shame. Quote
connoisseur series500 Posted September 4, 2004 Report Posted September 4, 2004 always been the same name. Started it on the Blue Note site to reflect my love for the BN product. Quote
Christiern Posted September 4, 2004 Report Posted September 4, 2004 I was Mnytime for a two-day period during which I didn't post. Quote
Jazzmoose Posted September 4, 2004 Report Posted September 4, 2004 Apologies to those who don't like "alternate names" on the same board, but I guess I should 'fess up by now and admit that I posted occasionally as "bardhop" and "grog", needling the obvious two counterparts... Quote
RainyDay Posted September 4, 2004 Report Posted September 4, 2004 and my avatar is a bit distorted, but it is an image of Ron Carter Try adjusting the size. The original size is 262x403 pixels. The Board software automatically crops and distorts to 100 x 100 pixels. Go to Avatar Settings and enter something like 65 x 100 and it should look OK. If that avatar is supposed to be Ron Carter, something more than cropping and distortion is going on. Quote
Shrdlu Posted September 4, 2004 Report Posted September 4, 2004 I was, at one distant time, Headley Stott, an obvious put-on, but assumed to be real. What does real really mean? On the greatly missed Verve board, which was sizzlingly exciting, I used Lancaster Bronx, but I can't remember if there was a period or an underscore. Lon was Lon there. Anyone recall Ka Ka Ka Carne, or however it was spelled? It was purged by Tomato at BN eventually, but the name itself was stunning. I don't remember anything that he/she/it posted. Quote
AmirBagachelles Posted September 5, 2004 Report Posted September 5, 2004 Just a Honeymooners fan here. And, ahhhhh but I was so much older then I'm younger than that now. Dan Quote
