Jim Alfredson Posted November 4, 2004 Author Report Posted November 4, 2004 What the fuck is that? Quote
Joe G Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 A guy holding a beaver skull. Found it doing a google image search on "beaver fever" (I was hoping to find a still from the ren and stimpy episode of the same name). I thought it was funny.... Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted November 4, 2004 Author Report Posted November 4, 2004 Weird... I couldn't tell what that was. It looked like a cartoon ninja beaver super-imposed onto the real picture. Quote
Joe G Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Really! No cartoon ninja beavers on my screen. Quote

Animal Planet and Discovery Channel now fill that niche and PBS probably gets better ratings/support with other things now. Years back when I was doing such things, I worked on a couple of shows with George Page... real nice guy. Have you watched the Discovery Channel Lately? It's all about the FBI, motorcycles, and a bunch of very weird stuff. I keep trying to figure where the discovery part comes in. I miss the stuff about the planet and the cosmos. There is a science channel on digital that is sort of good. Quote

I thought it was just a regular documentary, but it was an actual movie and the cinametography was breathtaking. It was about the migration of several different species of birds. It was really beautiful. It was probably a recent film called "Winged Migration." We took our kids to see that. Great stuff! I agree, Winged Migration is fantastic! If you enjoyed it you should track down a copy of the film they did first, called Microcosmos. Same basic concept, except substitute insects for birds and not so much noticable migration. Other than that, eerily the same. Quote
Man with the Golden Arm Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Angry Beavers!!! Now THAT was a great cartoon!!! Why on earth it has never been issued on DVD is beyond me. Quote
