wolff Posted October 31, 2004 Report Posted October 31, 2004 (edited) My cheap, 1 1/2 year old, $90 DVDP pretty much quit working. It was stopping half way through most movies. Went to place of purchase and they said it could be getting too hot. Another owner had installed a little fan and it fixed the problem. I had noticed how my DVD's came out very warm, so this sounded like a good idea. Took the cover off and cleaned laser. Left the cover off and it has worked great since. I'll see about putting a little fan in it later. Or, I may just modify the cover to give the laser some air. Do better DVDP's have fans? Edited October 31, 2004 by wolff Quote
