Late Posted February 25, 2022 Report Posted February 25, 2022 Anyone here pick up this new release (from 1981)? Planetário da Gávea And this, Far Out's previous Pascoal release: Renaissance Man: The Story of Hermeto Pascoal’s Great Lost Album, “Viajando Com O Som” Quote
jazzbo Posted February 25, 2022 Report Posted February 25, 2022 I ordered the new one from the label, should be here soon. Quote
Bill Nelson Posted February 26, 2022 Report Posted February 26, 2022 The 26:30 track, 'Casinha Pequenina', is the 'raison d'etre' for me. At midpoint, it enters a state of total exhilaration which would be the envy of Frank Zappa and perhaps Sun Ra. Quote
Late Posted March 7, 2022 Report Posted March 7, 2022 (edited) Good news: Far Out Records is reissuing Hermeto's 1970 Cobblestone album Hermeto on both LP and compact disc. The reissue is due out in May. The album was previously released on compact disc back in 1989 (on Muse) with different cover art. This reissue will restore the original Cobblestone cover art. Far Out's Hermeto reissues (two so far) have been excellent. Edited March 7, 2022 by Late toothpaste Quote
