catesta Posted October 25, 2004 Report Posted October 25, 2004 There's usually some core similarities between me and my closest friends (sense of humor, tolerance of different religious/cultural viewpoints, etc.), with lots of diversions on the periphery. The most important thing is how I feel when I'm around them. I think the bottom line is that we all want to spend time with people who basically accept, appreciate, and love us for who we are. If you can find that in a friend, count yourself blessed. B-) Nice. I've kept a solid core of close friends for a long time, no jazz fans among them. Sure, they can dig Sinatra or Ella, but anyhting beyond that, well......, I think they're just putting up with it for my benefit. When in my home they have no choice. B-) Recently I have found myself starting to go in a different direction. I know we will always remain close friends, but priorities in our lives have changed and I am spending less time with them now. Quote
