Message from The Tribe is out, and two compilations (Vibes from the Tribe) are either out or forthcoming. Additionally, there are best-ofs from Harrison and Ranelin. All of them pricey, but tempting. JSngry Posted October 21, 2004 Report Posted October 21, 2004 I've got some of the old Tribe (the label) LPs, and can recommend them if you like the "Strata-East meets Bitches Brew but not too far either way" bag (and I do). Hope they were able to clean up the recordings for these reissues, however. The originals were kinda "murky" or something. BTW - Ranelin has a new album out that, after a somewhat slow start on the first two tunes, shiftts into high gear and stays there. Guests include Harrison & Pharoah Sanders. A total gas, afaic. Available from finer bastids everywhere. Quote
