i might change to sweeps for all four 2nd round series

I can't see Dallas winning this series but they'll bounce back -- they're a great team and they're not going to get swept. Still, when you're playing the 2nd best team in the NBA, being 3rd or 4th best won't cut it.

I also think Indiana will take one or two games.

looks like a boring round two. Hopefully the Mavs can put up a fight against the sunds, otherwise we could have 4 easy sweeps.

Hate to be a pessimist about my own team, but it’s all over now including the shouting: Dirk’s calling out Erick Dampier for Dampier’s playing, and Dampier’s calling Dirk’s comments “stupid.” Which they are, if anyone’s been paying attention to Dirk’s so-called “playing.” This’ll be an easy sweep for Phoenix.

And to think Mark Cuban thought Nash wasn’t worth the money. Unbelieveable!

Dirk's comments stem from Dampier declaring himself the second-best center to Shaq earlier this season. The self-proclaimed second-best center to Shaq shouldn't yield 40 points to Amare Stoudemire.

Gotta agree with md655321, these second round games have been ZZZZZZZZZZ.

pistons are lookin' good mid-way through the 2nd

rip is struggling

Pistons came back in the 4th and almost won it. I didn't really watch because I was playing a gig... I was catching things out of the corner of my eye.

Sidenote, anyone else think that ESPN's female reporter (redhead) that is always in Indy is beautiful?

...yes! B-)

sidenote:

I attended the game last night and the pistons really didn't play their game for much of the night; not hitting open shots, not taking ccare of the ball, no answer for J. Foster. Pacers played a very good game with the exception of a chunk of the final quarter when they almost gave it away.

Dirk needs to shut up and produce.

Can't believe a 7 footer that close to the basket and unable to finish......

Eric Dampier has probably been listening too much to his friends, if he is second best center, the NBA is in big trouble..... Since when do centers get an offensive rebound and always kick it out?????? Why doesn't that dumb sob go right back up to finish???????

However, I can't talk, my Pistons are getting a real challange, they need to wake up.

Dampier is an interesting character -- a perennial underachiever who put up great numbers last year because he was up for a new contract. Now that he's signed with Dallas he's back to mediocrity. Dunno about "2nd best center", or even "8th best", but when motivated he can play pretty darn well and he does help Dallas quite a bit in more conventional situations.

Thanks

But.......

I watched him closely after Dirk called him out and he just doesn't look that good. Sorry, maybe it is because I have seen too many good ones, Nate The Great, Wilt, Russ, Willis, Kareem, David, Robert Parish, Wes Unseld, George Miken, etc. Hell, Luc Longley and Bill Cartwright played a better game than Eric. Hell, even Ray Felix was a lot better than Eric. Sorry man, I just don't buy it. He may improve and that would be nice but for right now, he needs to shut up and learn the position.

And that doesn't excuse Dirk by the way. I guess basketball has really changed more than I would like to admit.

EDIT; let me add Mourning, Ewing, Mutumbo and Olajuwon. From what I saw, James of Seattle outplays Dampier and maybe even Heywood of the Wiz.

peace

B-)
