Noj Posted May 2, 2005 Report Posted May 2, 2005 All the doubts about Miami's supporting cast aren't proving to be true, Haslem and Eddie Jones both played great against the Nets. With Mourning playing strong and Shaq now able to rest, look out East! The Pistons look great, I'd like to fast forward to their inevitable series with the Heat. May the Suns shoot 60% from three for the rest of the playoffs... B-) Quote

If the supporting cast holds up once they face a decent team, then we'll be talkin'. Guy Quote

But I agree, The Nets weren't much of a challenge. Edited May 2, 2005 by Noj Quote
BruceW Posted May 2, 2005 Report Posted May 2, 2005 the chumpions lose and their fans vanish into thin air....... not surprising if the chumpions score over 100 points they win 99/100 games SS1 Sorry dude, I was out of town and did not see any games, but it does look good for Detroit now. 3-1 and all engines running hot Quote
Guy Berger Posted May 3, 2005 Report Posted May 3, 2005 Mavs are lucky they didn't call out-of-bounds on Finley... Steve Kerr is a great announcer. Guy Quote
Noj Posted May 3, 2005 Report Posted May 3, 2005 That missed call is the difference in the game at this point. Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted May 3, 2005 Author Report Posted May 3, 2005 defensive playa of the year He should've been Defensive Player of the Year last year, too. Giving it to Ron Artest was bullshit. Quote
JSngry Posted May 3, 2005 Report Posted May 3, 2005 I sincerely hope that the Dirktongue does not become a prerequisite for future Mvs victories. But if that's what it takes... Quote
BruceW Posted May 3, 2005 Report Posted May 3, 2005 Even though I have been following the Lakers ever since they came to Los Angeles and played in the Pan Pacific Auditorium..... anybody remember that..... I will always be a fan of the midwest (which included the Minneapolis Lakers) and especially the Detroit Pistons..... rememvber when they were the Fort Wayne Pistons??? B-) DETROIT ROCKS Quote
Aggie87 Posted May 3, 2005 Report Posted May 3, 2005 Wild Spurs/Nuggets OT game last night! How many fouls were called in that one? Seemed like the game was never gonna end, and then goes into overtime to boot. Nuggets have a huge uphill battle to fight now, if they want to stay in this series. I thought the last foul called on Duncan was bad. Appeared like he never even touched 'Melo, and yet was out of the game. Lucky for the Spurs that bad call didn't cost them the game. And the Nuggets are making Manu Ginobili out to be a bad guy when he really isn't. He's aggressive and plays hard, and has been taking a beating by their defense too. I don't understand why he's gettin' booed like that. Quote
Noj Posted May 3, 2005 Report Posted May 3, 2005 The Nuggets fans are only hating on Ginobili because he is KILLING them. He and Parker are tough, and are both taking it upon themselves to take big shots and win games. How 'bout that conditioning on Parker? He still had something in the tank in OT while most of the other players on the court were looking sluggish. Quite the turnaround in the Houston/Dallas series. Methinks the Rockets have come down with a case of the chokes. Quote
Bright Moments Posted May 3, 2005 Report Posted May 3, 2005 what about van gundy's 100 k fine? insane!!! Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted May 3, 2005 Author Report Posted May 3, 2005 what about van gundy's 100 k fine? insane!!! What about Stern implying that he's considering a lifetime ban for Van Gundy? That's insane. Can you say "power hungry"? Quote

Methinks the Rockets have come down with a case of the chokes. I don't think the Mavs-Rockets series is over by any stretch though. And yeah, that foul on Duncan was ridiculous. TERRIBLE OFFICIATING last night. And Ginobili is terrific -- some of the Nuggets fouls on him have been ridiculous. So what about Van Gundy... is he going to spend next year in NBA jail? Guy Quote
Guy Berger Posted May 3, 2005 Report Posted May 3, 2005 What about Stern implying that he's considering a lifetime ban for Van Gundy? That's insane. Can you say "power hungry"? Probably excessive to ban him, but Van Gundy's behavior has been way out of line. Guy Quote
BruceW Posted May 3, 2005 Report Posted May 3, 2005 Me thinks this time Van Gundy is right, they want to shut him up. He hit the nail on the head and it is hurting Stern that anybody would speak up. Officials have been terrible in most of these series also. The only time they look good is when they huddle and decide someone made a mistake. B-) Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted May 4, 2005 Author Report Posted May 4, 2005 Geez, Larry Brown. Why don't you just go over to the visitor's bench and start dry-humping AI? Quote
