Soulstation1 Posted April 28, 2005 Report Posted April 28, 2005 (edited) some quik comments i still have the whizz over the bulls celts over pacers hard to believe i've seen reggie miller ball for over 20 years in college and the pros sweeps for heat and the chumpions does AI ever pass the ball????? does AI#2 only dunk the ball??? you gotta love the alonzo mourning story, the guy has given it all to the game why don't they play zo and diesel together? jason kidd never has had an outside jumper, he is being taken to school by the heat guards the chumpions are flyin' undected under the rader again, i DON'T like that anyone see the espn nba play-offs ad "it's on" with rip putting that damn mask on is sheed not gonna shave or cut his fro through out the play-offs? i hope not, that shit looks itchy BIG ben looks ready i've said it before the best team in the league from top to bottom is the chumpions barkley thinks it's the spurs, WRONG west phoenix and houston does t-mac play any "d"? suns are very soft inside, if the heat and sun met up. shaq averages 40+ seattle and spurs i do not like the spurs, but they bounced back big last night... who really cares about the queens and sonics series? all first round series are kinda boring Edited April 28, 2005 by Soulstation1 Quote
Noj Posted April 28, 2005 Report Posted April 28, 2005 (edited) does t-mac play any "d"? TMac has put the clamps on Dirk! Edited April 28, 2005 by Noj Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted April 28, 2005 Author Report Posted April 28, 2005 Good to see that ss1 sees the light. The Pistons are going to win it again, folks. :bwallace: (two Ben Wallaces for two trophies!!) Quote
doubleM Posted April 28, 2005 Report Posted April 28, 2005 (edited) I dunno. The west is much, much more competitive than it was last year. I can imagine the Suns, Rockets and Spurs giving the Pistons a difficult time...not to mention the Heat. Bulls look good, too. I think it's wide open, but the Suns look really good. They play excellent team defense, esp. late in the game. Edited April 28, 2005 by doubleM Quote

Yao and Duncan (assuming those are their two opponents over the next two rounds) will do the same, and each of those guys has a better supporting cast than Memphis. That said, if they keep the fast break going throughout the playoffs then teams will have a hard tme keeping up. Wonder what the Mavs will come up with tonight. I hope they win! Guy Quote
doubleM Posted April 28, 2005 Report Posted April 28, 2005 Pau did have his way last night, but at the end Q. Rich stepped up and helped out with the D quite a bit. Also, Nash, Marion, Stoudamire, and Richardson seem to have better reaction times/ball instincts than most of their opponents...which leads to many fast break points, open 3s, points in the paint. I don't see Ming as having enough stamina to dominate a series inside against them. Duncan, well...maybe. I'd like to see Dallas win tonight, too. Quote
Bright Moments Posted April 29, 2005 Report Posted April 29, 2005 wow what a game! da heat win in double overtime and zo makes a HUGE contribution defensively. stick a fork in the nets, their DONE!!! Quote
BruceW Posted April 29, 2005 Report Posted April 29, 2005 Good to see that ss1 sees the light. Guy Berger Posted April 30, 2005 Report Posted April 30, 2005 I don't expect Detroit to have any more difficulties with the 76ers, but I'm surprised they lost. I wonder what will happen once they start playing good teams. Guy Quote
Guy Berger Posted May 1, 2005 Report Posted May 1, 2005 Jason Frickin' Terry! What a game... go Dallas. Guy Quote
Soulstation1 Posted May 1, 2005 Report Posted May 1, 2005 (edited) the chumpions lose and their fans vanish into thin air....... not surprising if the chumpions score over 100 points they win 99/100 games Edited May 1, 2005 by Soulstation1 Quote
Soulstation1 Posted May 1, 2005 Report Posted May 1, 2005 i guess the bar was closed early tonight.... let's go nuggs, THIS game is a MUST win for them Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted May 1, 2005 Author Report Posted May 1, 2005 the chumpions lose and their fans vanish into thin air....... not surprising Sorry dude... some of us actually have things to do. Quote
Aggie87 Posted May 1, 2005 Report Posted May 1, 2005 Spurs had a poor 3rd Quarter, and Duncan shot terribly the whole game. But Ginobili played a great game, and Horry popped some key 3s, to take Game 3. Wonder if Carmelo will get a suspension for Game 4 for the flagrant foul on Ginobili at the end? Quote
Big Al Posted May 1, 2005 Report Posted May 1, 2005 Sure wish the Mavs could play all of their playoff games on the road. But then, I guess the Rockets wish they could play all of THEIR playoff games on the road, too! GO MAVS! Quote
Bright Moments Posted May 1, 2005 Report Posted May 1, 2005 game 4 today - let's hope fpr a heat SWEEP! B-) Quote
Soulstation1 Posted May 1, 2005 Report Posted May 1, 2005 (edited) anyone see that amare dunk the other night? funkin' vicious and nasteeeee the nuggs are getting flushed sweeps for the suns and the heat today the heat don't even need shaq-daddy vs the nets big ben and shaq should have a free throw shooting contest ss1 Edited May 1, 2005 by Soulstation1 Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted May 1, 2005 Author Report Posted May 1, 2005 The Pistons pulled it out. Tough game. Really stange officiating. The refs let them play loose the whole game until about 6 minutes left in the 4th quarter, then they tightened it up. Then in overtime, it was loose again. WTF? Consistency, folks! Back in Detroit to close out the series on Tuesday. Quote
Guy Berger Posted May 2, 2005 Report Posted May 2, 2005 Looks like Nash & co. will get some rest before facing their Texan nemesis. Did anybody else read about Rick Adelman's tirade against the officials? The Sonics transformed themselves from a lottery team to the Northwest Division champions this season, and their new emphasis on physical play often was cited as a big reason. Though Adelman praised Fortson and Evans for ``doing their jobs,'' he believes their play often crosses the line. ``I mean, these guys come in there and they're shoving, and they're pushing,'' Adelman said. ``Jerome was pushing, and Fortson, that's all he does -- makes free throws and pushes, just mugs people. We've got to combat that, but I think it's got to be looked at a little bit more. I know the playoffs are physical, but I've been told they're no different than the regular season.'' Fortson has been an agitator in each of Seattle's seven games against Sacramento so far this season. The veteran forward got five technical fouls in the clubs' four regular-season meetings, and he has two T's in the three playoff games. ``That's all he's in there for, is to push and shove, especially on the boards,'' Adelman said. ``And Evans -- you talk about Vlade (Divac) being a flopper? This guy is taking it to a whole new level. He goes down when the air conditioning comes on. Quote
