- Steeplechase LP 12'': SCC 6011 - Scandia Skies

Omit Kenny Dorham (t) on d. Omit Rolf Ericson (t) on c.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

But I´ve received some very reliable information contradicting this:

Allan Botschinsky on trumpet AND flügelhorn, instead of Rolf Ericson on trumpet.

Could you, owners of the LP or CD edition o knowledgeable jazzers in general, confirm which is the right data -checking your issues AND listening to it-? Pleeeeaze! I really believe in your ears! ;)

And could you also confirm that:

- Dorham sits out on Manhã De Carnaval

- the other trumpetist (whoever he is) sits out on Scandia Skies ?

Thanks in advance!

Relistening to this LP and agree with Bill Fenhor.

The notes (by Chris Sheridan) point out that Allan Botschnisky was on flugelhorn on the 'Short Story' album that was recorded two weeks later.

On this 'Scandia Skies' album, Ericson sits out on the KD feature 'Scandia Skies' while KD sits out on the Ericson feature 'Manha de Carnival'.

Ericson is listed as playing trumpet AND flugelhorn (he is on flugelhorn on 'Solar')!

The LP also has a back cover photo of both Dorham and Ericson enjoying a gathering at a table.
