Well, last night was sirloin steak and sauteed mushrooms, tonight was curried cauliflower and chicken cutlets with garam masala, still thinking about tomorrow. What time are you coming? Quote

vibes Posted October 24, 2004 Report Posted October 24, 2004 If you're thinking about placing another CDBaby order, check out classical guitarist Eliot Fisk. I just became aware that some of his CD's are sold at CDBaby. I have his recording of Paganini's 24 Caprices and another recording of Italian works called "Bell'Italia." Both are stunning, highly recommended. Quote

James Posted November 1, 2004 Report Posted November 1, 2004 I just ordered pianist Christian Jacob's new release "Styne and Mine." After reading Bill Holman's praise for Christian's arrangements I was sold. Praise can't get much higher than that!! I've caught Christian live twice, and have his recording with Steve Swallow and Adam Nussbaum. He deserves wider recognition, IMHO. Quote

Jeffro Posted December 14, 2004 Report Posted December 14, 2004 I like what I've experienced with CDBaby--a very well-run outfit. The Arlington Houston Band (performed at California's 2004 "Jazz on the [Russian] River" festival, Danny Caron (great blues/jazz guitarist who has played with Charles Brown and at the 2004 Monterey Jazz Festival), and maybe Oskar Saville [did vocals for 10,000 Maniacs--post N. Merchant] are all good purchases. Quote
