New Ellington reissue

Just saw at jazzmatazz that a reissue of the jazz violin session is coming, on Wounded Bird label. Cduniverse, where it´s now available as pre-order, lists Bayside label (???).

I guess this is the classical two violins + one viola session included in the Reprise Mosaic, isn´t it?

Anyone heard something about this new reissue?

And what is/are that/those two labels I had never heard of?

Wounded Bird seem to have a very eclectic release schedule- they released the magnificent Earth Opera albums a couple of years back (off topic I know). Made do with them while I awaited tha Elektra remasters, which finally came out about a month ago.

They pick the rarest and some of the best from the Warner/Atlantic vaults, and in very good sound: I have the beautiful Herbie Mann Stone Flute, and Miroslav Vitous' Magical Shepherd.

Checked out Wounded Birds web site and in amoungst the power pop and laid back west coast dreck I find the first 2 Mother Earth albums ! Oh happy day!
