Out2Lunch Posted May 22, 2003 Report Posted May 22, 2003 Don't get nervous, but I think that David Letterman is knocking on your back door Quote
jazzbo Posted May 22, 2003 Report Posted May 22, 2003 This is his latest active campaign. Can't wait for these to be released. I preordered! Quote
shawn·m Posted May 22, 2003 Report Posted May 22, 2003 I saved jazzhound’s entire Blackhawk BNBB thread. Think I’ll go give it another read for old times sake. Quote
mikeweil Posted May 27, 2003 Report Posted May 27, 2003 I saved jazzhound’s entire Blackhawk BNBB thread. Think I’ll go give it another read for old times sake. Please !!! give us a link here !!! Quote
jazzbo Posted May 28, 2003 Report Posted May 28, 2003 I don't think a link will help. . . . Unless someone has it archived from the old board. . . Quote
shawn·m Posted May 28, 2003 Report Posted May 28, 2003 Sorry mike, but I’m not prepared to post that particular piece of BNBB history (yes, I archived it due to its twist ending). I just wanted to remind jazzhound that some of us have more than long memories. Quote
Aggie87 Posted May 28, 2003 Report Posted May 28, 2003 Twist ending? Are we talking "Crying Game" or "Sixth Sense" here? You mean this isn't actually a Miles date but Kenny Dorham or something?? Quote
Brad Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 This is probably a dumb question. But I preordered this from cd universe. Since it's to be released tomorrow, does that mean they ship tomorrow or they've already shipped and I should receive sometime in the next few days. Quote
jazzbo Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 Brad, not a dumb question at all! Probably they have shipped it and you should receive it tomorrow or Wednesday or so. If you log in on the site and check your orders, you should be able to see the details. In my case they haven't shipped mine because I combined my order with the latest Duke Ellington Treasury Show volume, and that is not yet in, so it is holding up the process! But in the past when I've preordered like this they generally seem to ship the Saturday or Monday before the Tuesday new release date. . . . Quote
Brad Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 Lon, Thank you very much for the answer. Hopefully, it'll show up by Thursday. Quote
jazzbo Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 I hope so too, this is going to be a great set. The advance copies sound great! Quote
JohnS Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 I see they are in the shops today. In the UK 4cds for less than £20.00, has to be a bargain. Quote
Brad Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 I was just advised by cd universe that it shipped today so depending upon the mails I may not see this until next week. Quote
pryan Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 Four new discs of Miles! I haven't heard any of this material... Neither have I; I'm really hoping this is in Canadian stores tommorow and will try my darndest not to take the plunge on the complete set (ie. all four cds), and just go for either the Friday or Saturday sets. If it's substantially cheaper, though, to get the complete set..... BTW, I checked out a few clips on the Legacy site and the sounds seems really good to my ears, even through the computer speakers! Ron S Posted April 5, 2005 Report Posted April 5, 2005 Gee, I didn't realize that oregano is that expensive. Quote
Ron S Posted April 5, 2005 Report Posted April 5, 2005 That's cilantro you boob! Well THAT explains it. (You guys must use quite a bit of that stuff in NW Arkansas.) Quote
