I find myself buying more and more music on-line, so sometimes I don't end up with what I thought I was getting. Usually this is very upsetting but sometimes it works out ok.

For instance, I decided to try to scoop up all the Vogue "In Paris" CDs before they go any further OOP. One of the artists that is still available is Barney Wilen. Somehow when I did a search on Amazon, I got confused and ended up ordered Lee Wiley. A completely different thing, and yet I am enjoying her singing and might even order some more of her music. Of course, I still need to get the Wilen.

Any similar stories?

I ordered a Mu CD from Cadence years ago, and they sent me the next CD in the catalogue by mistake, Radius by Thomas Chapin. It's a terrific CD and led to his becoming one of my favorite artists of the 1990s, before his tragic early death.

I bought a CD from Amazon a few years ago and they sent me a Vinny Golia CD by mistake. I returned the Golia and got the one I ordered. Then I got into Golia and ended up re-ordering the CD that I had returned. Gotta lotta Golia now. Out of 600+ purchases from Amazon, that's the only wrong shipment that I've ever received.

Zweitausendeins sent me the "Complete Prestige Thelonoius Monk" when I had ordered one of those bin-end Art Tatum sets.

Whilst I was disappointed not to get the Tatum I was delighted with the Monk set.
