Rooster_Ties Posted August 31, 2004 Report Posted August 31, 2004 (edited) Hey all, When I tried to get into the board this morning, I got the following error... There appears to be an error with the Organissimo Jazz Forums - The place to discuss the band, jazz, and more! database. You can try to refresh the page by clicking here, if this does not fix the error, you can contact the board administrator by clicking here Error Returned mySQL query error: SELECT f.*, c.id as cat_id, c.position as cat_position, c.state as cat_state, c.name as cat_name, c.description as cat_desc, c.image, c.url, m.member_name as mod_name, m.member_id as mod_id, m.is_group, m.group_id, m.group_name, m.mid FROM forumforums f, forumcategories c LEFT JOIN forummoderators m ON (f.id=m.forum_id) WHERE c.id=f.category ORDER BY c.position, f.position mySQL error: Got error 28 from table handler mySQL error code: Date: Tuesday 31st of August 2004 08:10:44 AM And the same error comes up when you try to get into the front-page of the forums. The "Today's active topics" button does work, but the page that lists all of the forums is dead. Just thought I'd mention it, in case the powers that be didn't happen to run across this error through the normal course of their surfing on the board. -- Tom Edited August 31, 2004 by Rooster_Ties Quote
Joe G Posted August 31, 2004 Report Posted August 31, 2004 This is really weird. I'm posting this through the homepage, as I can't get to the main forum page. Quote
Rooster_Ties Posted August 31, 2004 Author Report Posted August 31, 2004 On the AAJ thread, couw says you can't start new threads. more strange stuff. search and post is the word then. no new threads possible. maybe we can have political articles of similar content posted in the same thread for a change... Might be the case now, but I was able to start this thread earlier this morning (a little over an hour ago). I'll try to start another thread, and see if that works... -- Tom Quote
Rooster_Ties Posted August 31, 2004 Author Report Posted August 31, 2004 Just started another thread just fine, at least in the "forums" forum. Quote
couw Posted August 31, 2004 Report Posted August 31, 2004 Just started another thread just fine, at least in the "forums" forum. yes, forgot there's a new topic button at the bottom of every thread and not just on the main forum pages. Quote
JSngry Posted August 31, 2004 Report Posted August 31, 2004 I'm not getting any cookie regocnition. Have to register before every post. Is the hamster ill? Quote
couw Posted August 31, 2004 Report Posted August 31, 2004 my cookies stay in the jar just fine. maybe your hamster burst his cheeks from overeating. Quote
Rooster_Ties Posted August 31, 2004 Author Report Posted August 31, 2004 Is the hamster ill? Might just be having a "sick" day... Quote
Rooster_Ties Posted August 31, 2004 Author Report Posted August 31, 2004 Or maybe this is the Organissimo hamster, which would explain a lot. Quote
7/4 Posted August 31, 2004 Report Posted August 31, 2004 Just started another thread just fine, at least in the "forums" forum. But does it show up in the recent posts results? Quote
JSngry Posted August 31, 2004 Report Posted August 31, 2004 Still have to register before every posting... I predict that a contest to name the Organissimo hamster is not too far off... Quote

Jim Alfredson Posted August 31, 2004 Report Posted August 31, 2004 The hampster tried to call in sick. When I checked on him in his cage he was smokin' weed and watching Dawson's Creek. Little bastard. Quote
Noj Posted August 31, 2004 Report Posted August 31, 2004 Maybe we should call the hampster Mnytime. Quote
JSngry Posted August 31, 2004 Report Posted August 31, 2004 Maybe we need THIS kind of Hampster! No slacking there! Quote
Guest Chaney Posted August 31, 2004 Report Posted August 31, 2004 I vote we lose the hampster and his wheel and hire this little guy... Quote
Brad Posted August 31, 2004 Report Posted August 31, 2004 Maybe we should call the hampster Mnytime. Whatever happened to him or is it true that he passed away or was that just a scam? Quote

JSngry Posted August 31, 2004 Report Posted August 31, 2004 Nobody's 100% sure, but I tend to believe that he did indeed pass away. Quote
Noj Posted August 31, 2004 Report Posted August 31, 2004 Oh boy, I hope I didn't offend anyone. I thought the consensus was that it was a hoax. This happens all the time when I try to be funny. Quote
JSngry Posted August 31, 2004 Report Posted August 31, 2004 That may indeed be the consensus, but I tend to think otherwise. No problem. Quote
Matthew Posted August 31, 2004 Report Posted August 31, 2004 Nobody's 100% sure, but I tend to believe that he did indeed pass away. Which would be very sad if true. I must admit I had a soft spot in my heart for Mnytime; he was wild, erratic, intelligent, made things up at times, and my guess would be, he didn't understand himself all that well. I run across people like that in life a lot, and all you can do is have a sense of compassion about them and their lives. Quote
