Michael Fitzgerald Posted August 28, 2004 Report Posted August 28, 2004 If Lon gets his before I get mine - heads will roll. Mike Quote
jazzbo Posted August 28, 2004 Report Posted August 28, 2004 No danger there! Even if I had one on order, it takes about four days to get to Texas. Quote

wesbed Posted August 28, 2004 Report Posted August 28, 2004 Finances have kept me from purchasing the last four or five Mosaics. Wha..? I need to get the Farmer/Golson Mosaic just to know how it feels to have a Mosaic box that Lon doesn't have. Quote
Roger Hiles Posted August 30, 2004 Report Posted August 30, 2004 (edited) Thanks to the Jazzmatazz site I've just found that this set is available from CD Universe for $91.21! (although described at the "Complete Verve sessions"). Link to CD Universe Never noticed this with any Mosaic sets before. Edited August 30, 2004 by Roger Hiles Quote

I wonder if the packaging is identical, if the set is numbered, etc. Quote

Link to CD Universe Never noticed this with any Mosaic sets before. Are you sure this is the Mosaic set? It might be one of those bogus European companies who release similar sets to Mosaic in similar time proximities. I didn't see the name "Mosaic" anywhere on that page. Guest Chaney Posted August 30, 2004 Report Posted August 30, 2004 I just phoned Mosaic asking about the CD Universe listing. It's most likely a listing snafu - probably part of some massive database entry which will soon be deleted. (Mosaic will place a test order.) In short: CD Universe can not provide the set. ~~~~~~~~~ Verve will be handling distribution of the set in Europe with that to begin in approximately one month. Quote
Guest Chaney Posted August 30, 2004 Report Posted August 30, 2004 The two copies of this set that I ordered arrived! Set numbers 35 and 36. Quote

king ubu Posted August 30, 2004 Report Posted August 30, 2004 Why the hell do you need two of them? And what I always wanted to ask: are you a relative of Cheney? Quote
Guest Chaney Posted August 30, 2004 Report Posted August 30, 2004 Second set is for a Dutch friend of mine. Quote

Guest Chaney Posted August 30, 2004 Report Posted August 30, 2004 got one base covered, now for the second: can I be your friend? PayPal me some dough and then we'll talk about it. B-) Quote
Michael Fitzgerald Posted August 30, 2004 Report Posted August 30, 2004 All RIGHT!! Mine arrived this morning. (Along with the Sweet Papa Lou as well.) I guess I have my day's listening planned. Wonderful photos by Chuck Stewart, most of which I've never seen (the Mercury CD of Here And Now cropped a lot of stuff). Glad that Golson was consulted for the notes. This is one set that I've been waiting a LONG time for - well before it was announced or planned. Looks like they've done it right. Mike Quote
