When the nurse went to put on the cuff to measure blood pressure I jokingly remined her about what happened last year when she put on the 'medium' rather than 'large 'cuff. She had a vague recollection of this and quickly switched 'em and put on the correct ('large') one. Blood pressure reading with the large cuff: 117/78. I then asked her to slap the 'medium' cuff back on for kicks and see if there'd be a difference. Yep...130/90. Exact same thing happened a year ago when they incorrectly came up with a 140/90 read before realizing they'd made a mistake. I wonder how many people are walking around thinking they have elevated blood pressure....but really don't?
