Son-of-a-Weizen
Just returned from the standard 'ol med. check-up and thought I'd share this. When the nurse went to put on the cuff to measure blood pressure I jokingly remined her about what happened last year when she put on the 'medium' rather than 'large 'cuff. She had a vague recollection of this and quickly switched 'em and put on the correct ('large') one. Blood pressure reading with the large cuff: 117/78. I then asked her to slap the 'medium' cuff back on for kicks and see if there'd be a difference. Yep...130/90. Exact same thing happened a year ago when they incorrectly came up with a 140/90 read before realizing they'd made a mistake. I wonder how many people are walking around thinking they have elevated blood pressure....but really don't? BERIGAN
That's interesting! I think everyone has had their bloodpressure read much higher than usual...they want to slap you on meds so fast...
Son-of-a-Weizen
and always ask for the small glove! I phoned your North Shore doc this afternoon and asked him to road test this baby on you next time you're in. Fukuoku Five Finger Massage Glove The famous fukuoku finger vibe now comes in a five finger glove that is waterproof! Low speed gives gentle stimulation- while high speed delivers approximately 45-000 vibrations per minute! Each finger vibrates to allow your whole hand to massage in synchronicity. Allows for versatility of touch because of the flexibility and variety of positions through which a hand can move.
Jazzmoose
I had the same problem a couple of visits ago. Amazing the difference the cuff makes. Unfortunately, they had the right one last time and it has still gotten high...so much for doughnuts...
Brad
Never knew that. I wonder why. Must be the tension on the arm.
